At Grace Temple, we believe "life happens in circles, not in rows".
That is why small group ministry is so important.
These groups are where we make our most meaningful, long-lasting connections.
Please join a small group and grow in your relationship with Christ and others!

Another Bible Study Option:
Bible Fellowship on
Sunday mornings at 9am.

Bible Fellowship Classes are small groups that meet year round.
You can meet with a group of peers who share similar life experiences.

Small Groups

Small Groups Provide Several Opportunities:

  • Small groups provide the opportunity for relationships. All people were created with the need for relationships.

Genesis 2:18 – “Then the Lord God said, ‘It is not good for the man to be alone…’”

  • Small groups provide the opportunity to “do life” together.  Your group should share in caring for one another’s spiritual, physical, emotional and even (sometimes) financial needs.

Acts 2:42-47 “They [believers] were continually devoting themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer… And all those who had believed were together and had all things in common; and they began selling their property and possessions and were sharing them with all, as anyone might have need... And the Lord was adding to their number day by day those who were being saved.”

  • Small groups provide greater opportunity to know when someone is hurting or in need. This affords opportunities for others to intervene through prayer and ministry.

  • Small groups also provide opportunities to discuss the Bible text and to ask questions. A large gathering does not provide these opportunities.  Therefore, the small group is designed for more expedient spiritual growth and understanding.

Small Groups at Grace Temple:

Bible Fellowship groups meet on Sunday mornings at 9am for the purpose of Bible study and community.  These groups are age-graded. Children, youth and young adults (18-59) meet in the Administration Building. Senior Adults (60 and above) meet in the Adult Ministry Center. Anyone can join these groups on any Sunday morning. Curriculum is provided for this study.

Catalyst Groups include Bible study, community and snacks. These typically meet in the Spring and Fall Semesters and meet in host homes.  Days, times and locations are announced on Sunday mornings in the worship folder or during the announcement time at the end of the service. These can be joined by signing up in the Worship Center. It may be necessary to purchase a workbook for the class you join, however, we never want cost to prevent participation.

Financial Peace University (FPU) teaches biblical principles of personal money management by providing concepts for getting out of debt and building wealth for the purpose of blessing others. FPU meets on Wednesday nights during the Spring and Fall Semesters.

Sign-up is performed online when the class is available. This class requires the purchase of a membership which includes a kit with the workbook and any necessary materials. This class takes place during our Pioneer Clubs, so childcare is available. Contact the office to find out when the next session will begin or if you have other questions.

SonShine Quilters meet on Tuesday mornings from 9:00-11:30am in the Administration  Building. This is a lively ladies’ group that enjoys fellowship and ministering to others through gifting quilts and other hand-sewn gifts for various life-events.
